Hello, dear friends,

I do not believe I told you this before, but I am a certified yoga instructor. As such, I have to wear a decent amount of yoga clothes. Fortunately for me, yoga clothes are quite popular right now!

Even though the functionality of your yoga clothes is the most important aspect of your outfit, that doesn't mean you can't try to stay as stylish as possible.

Personally, my favorite yoga clothes company is Lululemon, but there is no reason to shop exclusively with them. Firstly, their clothes are expensive (I actually get a discount and they're still on the pricey side). Secondly, their clothes are really only made to fit a specific body type, so if you don't fit that mold, their clothes are not for you. You can easily find other brands that have the same or similar styles.

Two basic design preferences I have for yoga tops is for them to have sleeves and for them to be long enough to cover my derrière. Other than that, I'm not particularly fastidious. I don't think there's anything wrong with sleeveless yoga tops, I just like my tops to have sleeves, no matter how short. Here is a yoga top I think is cute that fits my criteria; is it long and has sleeves. It comes in a variety of colors (and even comes in sleeveless versions), so if you're interested in this shirt you can click on the picture.

I am honestly even less picky about my yoga pants. I just want them to allow a full range of leg movement and not slide down while I'm doing physical activity. I actually find these pants really cool, because they allow for movement and since the legs are cuffed, the bottoms will not get in the way of your feet. These pants also come in a wide assortment of colors, so if you are interested in these, you can click on this picture.

I wouldn't want wear any yoga look all the time, because I personally don't like the idea of always looking like I just left the gym or I'm about to go to the gym. Gym rat is not my aesthetic, so I try to limit my yoga clothes to when I'm actually doing yoga. That being said, since I know I won't always have time to change into more formal clothes, I tend to opt for yoga apparel that looks more like everyday clothes than solely gym clothes.

Here a few more yoga clothes that I appreciate.

Stay fit my friends!

Hello mes chers,

Today, I am going to talk about something that I don't know that much about: hats.

The truth is, I do not wear hats often, nor do I own a variety of hats. When I do wear hats, they are usually the wide-brimmed sun hats used to keep sun off the face. However, I would be remiss if I didn't over these timeless accessories.

Firstly, I would like to point that while straw hats may not be the most fashionable, particularly in more urbane styles, they have their place. They protect your skin from the sun, which is quite damaging and could give you sunburn, wrinkle your skin prematurely, or even contribute to skin cancer. So, if you're going to a gala, you might not want don your huge straw hat, but if you're out birding, I highly recommend you do!

On the other hand, hats can be genius outfit touches. I personally prefer hats that are of a classic design.

One of my favorite classic hat styles is the cloche hat, like this one. I have one of my own, and it is one of my most beloved accents to add to an outfit. Cloche hats come in a slight variation of styles and a wide variety of color schemes, but it's almost impossible to go wrong with any of them. The one I own is black, and there is a bow on it where the large flower is on this fuchsia hat. They tend to be a bit more on the expensive side, so be prepared if you are interested in buying a cloche hat.

Another one of my favorite hat styles is the beret. This style is simplistic and elegant and will absolutely go with any outfit. I do actually have a few of my own. These come in many different designs and colors; even the way you position your beret may affect the style. Berets are usually less expensive than cloche hats, so while they are less individual, buying multiples is easier.

Now that I've poured everything I know about hats out of my head (I'm sure if I invested more time into defining my specific hat taste, I could find some more information), enjoy this chic 3 minute video of 400 years' worth of men's hat styles:

Now, I'm sure all you lovelies know that wearing sunglasses is important for you eye health, which you can find out more about here. But of course, they are also a fashion statement.

Sunglasses can be either a pop of color, an accessory to pull your outfit together, both. Furthermore, sunglasses make your face look more symmetrical, making you look more attractive, while simultaneously coving your eyes so that your emotions are harder to read, giving you an air of mystery.

There are many different shapes of glasses you can experiment with. Here are just a few that I find eye-catching.

Aviator-style glasses are a personal favorite of mine. They're simple and elegant, and in my opinion can go with either formal or casual outfits. However, they are also extremely common, so if you want to break out of the box so that you're not #basic, you could try something else.

For something a little bit different, but still en vogue, you could try vintage oval sunglasses like these. They are dainty and refined and will go perfectly with any chic outfit.

For a bit of an edgier look, you could try these #hipster glasses. They will definitely make a statement, and will probably be a focal point of your outfit.

Overall, I would advice staying away from wild prints or zany glasses styles. Keep it simple and easy and you'll have no problem ensuring wardrobe success.

These glasses are an example of a no go.
